I moved this out of the "talk to John" part of the forum since any decisions that may be made about Jim Morrison's grave would be made by the family, not by John, or by the other Doors.

I disagree about 'digging him up'. Let him rest in peace.

Um..I never heard that Jim stuttered.

Isn't Jim's grave an official French monument now? They wont dig Jim up. Also it seems that the Morrison family doesn't have any desire to do this, so it ends there. That should be respected.

Jim did not stutter. I agree Diane.

My question to as well The 3 remaining Doors members as well as the Morrison and Courson family and all other people who get on a regular basis money from Jim Morrison's talents, is : What can you do for his restingplace at Pere La Chaise??? In other words:"His Grave" !!!???? Having earned millions now through all those years, atleast youall people can get him a new grave, and offcourse dig him up when you're at it to show the whole world that he was buried in a black suit with tie and some stuff like pictures and other memorabilias in his coffin. I am sure that some of the stuff that was putted in his coffin with his body is still in there, depite the 40 years that have gone by. Anyway,it would be nice ,I mean GREAT, that before July 2010 his eternal restingplace will be doneas proper as possible to the standards of the finances that have been made possible by his talent !!! Please do the right thing !!! No more mystery !!! Please dig him up and give him a proper burial !!! He earns that !!! Money isn't a problem for me btw!!! So pplease. Once again, Do the right thing!!!

Like Jim Would say with some proper stotter: Dddo the right thing !!!

I seem to recall countless newspaper articles over the decades that have worn this story out time and time again. A majority of these "stories" were fueled by Ray Manzarek's lust for attention. Evidence of this is posted in print form all over this forum.

Please read the 1998 Newsweek article titled, "Morrison Boneyard: Strange Days" as I believe it will answer your questions concerning the disposition of Jim's plot in Pere Lachaise.

In my opinion, Jim Morrison has had enough of a circus dancing around and on his grave since a headstone was placed there back in 1981. This same circus like atmosphere was one of the contributing factors that convinced Morrison to go to Paris in the first place back 1971 as a means of escape. According to people who were in Morrison's company, in Paris before his death and those who attended the funeral it was Jim's wishes to be buried in Pere Lachaise. You can find the interviews in relation to this story in a thread titled, "Morrison's Grave". There were too many witnesses that saw Jim's body which quells the rumors of him still being alive. Of course, it is up to each individual reading the interviews and evidence on this thread to believe or not believe the claims.

Taking into consideration Jim Morrison's last wishes it is selfish to think about moving his remains to any other location. He deserves to rest in peace.

I like Jim's grave the way it is. It's simple, it's solid. Nuff said.

Stuttered? Nope. In fact, talking to Jim was like talking to a college professor. He was well-educated and articulate.

Indeed I believe that it was like talking to a college professor and I agree tht he was well educated and very articulate(wich also is because he read a lot and had a very high level of IQ),but I think because of he fact that he was breathing the right way because of his singing career (what's that word in English?:"Logopedie" or because he had the right logopedist/singing teacher.I can hear from his way of singing that he have had singing lessons. Perhaps a good question for John to answer???If he have had singing lessons in the beginning of his career.

Anyway, the reason why I think that Jim was someone who stuttered is because I have stuttered untill the age of 21 and after I had my singing lessons and eventually became a singer the stuttering vanished because a person starts to breath different. I will when I get back from the city add the fragment where you can hear Jim Stutter, because I have to go in about 10 minutes and will be back in an hour and so in 2 hours tops, I can search the fragment I know that most people can do a little stuttering but I think that he cured himself in combination with the singing/breathing. So in about 2 hours I will edit this and will include the fragment. See you in two ;-) Ciao....Mark-Vincent.

I think that had Jim stuttered, that we'd have known about it. There isn't much that is secret about Jim or his life anymore at this point.

Jim didn't have singing lessons. He just picked it up as he went along.

Yep.

Wow...that is really amazing. That is quite unique too btw because his vibrato is sometimes so slow and deep and when he truly have never had any singing lessons to learn how to do this then that sounds like one of the biggest gifts that you could think of. Amazing !!!
