Does anyone here know about anyone in the Doors forum. Sorry, i'm abit dazed so I'll keep this short and uninteresting. Basically, I created an account over there and to my suprise it hasn't been ''validated'' yet. I mean like, what the fuck, right? I wanna post there and spread the wisdom too!

Anyone?

There are only a couple of mods right now and all have other, paying jobs. Therefore, they may not check the boards everyday.

Maybe your reputation precedes you.

That place is turning into a real snake pit, courtesy of two particular posters. One of them stated she'd have some nasty things to say about John if allowed to do so. I wouldn't want to post there under any circumstances. Management had to wade in yesterday.

And maybe that's what it's going to take to change things there before everyone is run off that board.

A little too late I think, well for me anyways.

Shebang is a poster there doing some great work.

Has anyone here checked out the thread on all Doors related articles and news stories and blogs out there? Pretty amazing.

But alas, DMB is flat-lining like a bad trade stock in a slow accumulation period.

Yes, she is really putting her shoulder to the wheel, trying to get things back to civilization. However, to continue to do that, she has to remain extremely neutral when it comes to board politics, and as she doesn't know the politics, eventually she'll fall foul of them unfortunately. Or not. But I wish her well.

While I do commend Shebang for trying to (as you said) "get things back to civilization" (and I also wish her well)... a lot of the postings are 'fluff' pieces that any one of us can find on the net.. some simply only mention Morrison or The Doors. There's not really much information there. I much prefer Sara's postings here.. substantial, factual, _real_ information (a lot of it no longer available). I like reading back on the history of things, not just things that are currently popping up in the news.
That being said, let me state again that I do think Shebang is doing a real good job for what she's doing. There's simply nothing 'new' there information wise for me.
