John recently donated to the restoration of the Wall That Talks in Highland Park. This powerful mural, celebrating Chicano history, has been abused by taggers in the last few years. Thanks to donations, the mural is being cleaned up and protected by a graffiti-proof coating. (Thanks, Ida!)

I've lived here nearly all my life and I've seen how beautiful these murals are.
Some of these taggers certainly do have talent, and if they could catch the community spirit and be given spaces to decorate, they'd get the respect they want.

Glad John is supporting this project. It needs to go citywide, imo.
