I don't have too many friends who consider themselves fans of the The Doors, but I do know quite a few friends/people who have at least one Doors album. The strange thing is, it usually is Morrison Hotel. I don't know why, or if there is even a reason why! Anyone else noticed this about MH or maybe another album?

Sorry to the people who also visit the Doors MB as this will be a double up, but there are people who only visit one or the other.

I never really noticed that. I wonder why "Morrison Hotel"?

I never noticed it either....most people my age if they have albums from the sixties and seventies, (whether avid Doors fans like myself or just love music from that time period,) if they have Doors albums usually it's The Doors or LA Woman.
Myself, I have all of them in duplicate and triplicate. My husband picks them up at flea markets and I have a few that have never even been opened.
I do know that MH was a real hit with bikers and truck drivers and needless to say it is a GREAT album, so maybe that satisfied them. Jacky

Maybe because it's more accessible to play in a party situation than Strange Days or L.A. Woman or even the 1st album. The End comes on at a party and that is the end. wink.gif

I agree, MH is the best to play in a party situation. Its also the best one to listen to in the car.

I have not noticed that at all because I do not know anyone that even likes The Doors a little even though most people I have met know of them. I did once meet two people that had heard of them and the unusual thing is that of all of the actual Doors songs, it was carol that they've heard. tongue.gif
