I remember actually being scared I was in trouble... . Just to be safe I keep the tags on things these days. I have a leather recliner that I have had since I moved into this house. Just for shits and grins I have kept the tags on it, dangeling from the left head area. I call it my " Minnie Pearl" chair. Minnie as you recall was the Hee Haw character that had the tags hanging off her hat. Years back when she died it was said that it was oriiginally a gaff made by the costumer, and they just left it on there for a laugh.
It's a similiar joke with me,I'M also thinking of how thrilled the next owner will be when he or she views it at my estate sale.
I think it's a joke Chris is pulling on us, saying these photos that he has no copywrite on can't be used elsewhere. It would be a hoot if the actual copywrite owner or owners dragged his butt into court and won a judgement against him for copywrite infringement, that being said it is a nice chronological collection of photos.
Live and let live ya'all and quit taking yourselves to seriuously. I have a friend that has recently aquired a rare recording. Not only will he not let me have a copy, he won't even say how he managed to get it. Like an episode of I Spy or Mission Impossible I think. He did agree to let me hear it, but only after a undergoing a strip search and a sweeping for electronic recording devices. He's a serious coillector.
As a cautionary tale, a friend of mine runs a fan website for a very well-known band, and has done so for about five years. She has a few downloads of live performances, photos, and the usual stuff that most fan-sites have. The site is known to one of the principals of this band, who was also gracious enough to invite our webmistress and some other fans to meet with him after a show a couple of years back.
Despite that, and the co-existence of another site dedicated to this same band which has been in existence for at least 14 years, my friend was suddenly contacted by the band's management and told to take everything off her site, chop-chop, or they'd take her to court. She successfully argued her way out of it, but had to argue with a relatively high-powered IP lawyer. Fortunately, she's a PhD and recently had to defend her dissertation, but even so this attack was unexpected and virulent.
The photos are fine, it was thorough of 'Chris' to take the time to hunt down the accurate dates and places. I thought his name was Manuel, though. But, let's drop it. I think the points have been made.
