As it's my first post, i will try to introduce myself ...I'm french man, 37 y old, living in south of france near marseille (but also lived rue beautrellis in Paris in the past)

A man told that he's Jim Morrison, complaining about Doors market, talking about the fake man on oregon etc....
he lives in south of France, in Corsica island, where Jim and Palm told that corsica it's a great place when they visited it on their last trip in 1971.

And nothing to see with this topic, but i just wanna give some respect to John DESMORE for his job, what he have done and what he hactually making, and especially the fact that he didn't choose to come back with the other remaining Doors members, especially for commercial purpose.
For me other members have to live, and they can go to make music ,that's not hurting me even if they use the Doors name ( did Rolling stones stopped when Brian jones was dead ? (on...3th july at 27 y old))..
But i realy hate that they use a fake Morrison, using same words 'dead rats, dead cats)..trying to copy all jim posture, that is non sense, a totally out of respect and under zero about artistic approach and respect of what Morrison did and was and also for Doors fan.
That is my point of view and i just used my first post to clarify it.

We all know James Douglas Morrison is dead,but lets play for a second,this guy in the picture does not match JDM's physical characteristics,thick neck,broad shoulder's and elf like ears that flowered out a bit. That's my take.

If Jim truly had faked his death, i doubt that all these years later he'd suddenly pop out and say, "Oh, here i am! Haha, i got you! Now i want to be famous again!"

If Jim wanted to disappear, i have no doubt that he'd want to disappear forever.

That man also looks nothing like Jim.

Actually there's a high school pic of Jim and shows his ears stuck out, like an elf. And a head was shaped like a potato. I think that's why he probably grew his hair long and wore it over his ears. It did wonders for his career. Iggy Pop said in an TV interview Jim had long thick hair like Hedy Lamarr.

That was about right. Lotsa hair.

I'm buying a Mr. Potato Head kit and challenge my kids to make a Jim Morrison, they'll add the hair last to see the transformation. Cheers

Morrison's death was obviously very suspicious. maybe his dad got him out of it.

Probably would have kept his cheekbones... maybe some change to the eyebrows and chin.

Erick3d...thanks for posting that pic (s)....seems like every few years someone pops up trying to cash in on a man's brilliance even though he has been gone for 40 years. I don't think it will ever stop so I guess we will have to grin and bear it. Myself, a forty year fan...am used to a multitude of fake Morrisons (never a fake Pamela, go figure). Jim is gone....we know it....the one's who wonder either do not know their doors history or are trying to act like they know something we don't.

I think Jim's eyes actually were the main distinguishing feature of the guy, from video I saw. Always glowing.

Also, he had a good brow and perfect symmetry, that guy doesn't...

When Jim had a beard he looked like some regal ancient one pulled out of a raphael painting or something.

He's only now coming forward to put all the rumours to rest. He's not that guy in France, he did die; the transformation to cat was a peaceful and welcome change, but it took ages for him to come through the well of souls because he was trying to avoid becoming a rat in India. He says most people become rats in India, or squirrels in New Jersey.

Yeah well, considering it’s a very fuzzy picture, anyone with a beard (incl my grandpa) could look like Jim. The way I always tell if it’s a real or fake Jim picture is looking at his eyes, they were so unique.

Like Blossom said, I also think that if Jim would have stage his death, I don't think he would have been able to keep it a secret for too long.

Jim is dead, now my personal opinion is that he is not in France, I think his parents had too much power to keep him there without a funeral with his family, I think his parents ran a tight ship so I doubt they were like: Oh yeah Jim's dead in Paris, we'll just leave him there without seeing the body and what ever.......
