One question jumps out immediately from this.
What the hell is this?

"Vintage film, some of it buried in boxes for decades, was supplied by the band."

Exactly WHAT has the so called manager been doing during his tenure if film footage had been left stashed in boxes.
I thought he had archived this stuff?

"Let's face it, a lot of the negative reaction was about the number of words and I would be a fool if I didn't look at some of the unanimity there and ask myself, is it true or not? I decided that some of it was true, so I've cut some of the words."
So does that mean that instead of just jackals trying to rip his film to shreds he acknowledges that the criticism of his narration came from people who were actually Doors fans and who thought that his idiot guide to The Doors approach was indeed trite and dull and he has recognised he needs to do something about it?
Getting Johnny Depp is a triumph and practically guarantees a wider audience for this film, which is excellent, but Tom needs a knock your socks off narration to give JD and make this movie a must see film not just for the likes of us.

I think Depp is more than up for the job, and we have to trust his artistry in this situation. He's been involved in the project for quite some time, apparently.

Calm down fluffy bear...He's probably just trying to make the footage sound raw...

Assuming you mean Walls' avatar, the 'fluffy bear' is actually a British TV personality from the 50s called Sooty.

you mena the 80's because I watched that program back then and did post a snippetr from it somewhere for peoples enjoyment!

As for this doco movie I am sure there is plenty of unreleased doors footage because I am sure they want to keep some a secret, maybe they will release a doco called the "doors secrets", you never know. I thought that the title would have no doors lyric or reference what so ever.

No, I mean the 50s. I assume it's still running in the 80s, though if Harry Corbett is still Sooty and Sweep's mate, he must be 100 years old. Oh, just looked it up on Wikipedia - guess you must have watched his son do the honors. Harry was the puppeteer who created Sooty and Sweep and brought them to British TV in the 50s.

Izzy wizzy, let's get busy!

I have never heard of Sooty until this forum...but that looks like a bear that shows up in your dreams and then suddenly turns evil.

Sooty's main talent was hitting the ever-tolerant Harry Corbett in the head with a hammer, or dousing him with some sort of liquid by the end of the show. I now get why Walls' uses him as an av! laugh.gif
