Max was Jim's closest confidante??  Says who?  What about Paul, Babe, Frank? You need to stop reading all this stuff. Yes, we've also heard about the alleged 'commotion.' It's documented and has been discredited, and the two or three neighbors who were willing to talk never reference it and were unaware that Jim and Pam even lived there until the police arrived and the door to the flat was left open.  You'll be telling me about the blonde woman on the landing next.

Perhaps you should read the Morrison's death thread, instead of coming on here, whoever you are, and going on the attack.  PK has a few male supporters - you don't have to be 'jealous' of Pam to cause this sort of dispute.  We've seen you come and go over the years.

According to Max Fink, whom I would say was Jim's closest confident, Jim was preparing to break free from Pam (who actually wasn't with Jim much in Paris - hence Ronay moved into no. 17 for a period of time) ....I've never heard of their intention to get married in Paris.

She may have left for Paris on Feb 14th - but was nowhere to be seen on his arrival. That's romance for you.

I repeat, I am not a PK supporter.  And, as I am male, I am not jealous of her for bedding Jim Morrison......

Why would you say that Max Fink was Jim's closest confidante? I've never heard anyone who knew Jim ever say that.

How also do you know that Pam was "Nowhere to be seen" upon Jim's arrival in Paris..? Were you there?

I don't 'need' to stop reading anything.... all of us with an interest in dissecting the lives of people that have been dead for 40 yrs can only take in all the available information and make our own judgement calls. I have read the death thread. I don't think I've gone on the attack - you used my topic to denigrate PB & PK. I can usually tell fact from fiction when I read these books - i.e. I don't believe for one second Jim 'eyed' up young men in his audience a la Stephen Davis or that he had Max Fink pay off male lovers to keep quiet.  There are some parts of PK's book I would put down to wishful thinking, however, I do know that when I wrote to her in 1991, she wrote me a very long and frank letter in return and also sent me a very nice gift. That, she didn't need to do and I believe goes a long way towards showing her general good character.

Who am I?,  well no-one special - I bought my first Doors album in 1988, was posting on the LL in 2000 and dropped by here to lay my hands on a book.

So getting back on topic, can I borrow your copy?

p.s. your rockphiles link doesn't work.

Was I supposed to say only what you want me to say in 'your topic'?  Sorry, don't think it works that way.  I've seen PK savagely attack "Doorzoids" and "Pam heads" amongst other things, so now you've either joined the "zoid" ranks, or you're a "Pam head," in her estimation.  I really don't want to talk about her any longer, because I've formed my own opinion and that over a period of time as well.   Btw, I'm sure she was much more pleasant in 1991 than she is now.  That was twenty years ago.

I own two Doors books - Ray's and John's.  That's it.

Here's the link to My Life In the Day: If you read Part One, you'll find the links to the other five parts.

Back in those days everything was simpler and more confused.

The hadn't invented muzak yet

One of you old heads want to tell us what you got then when you were on hold?

A one armed sniper in a parking garage listening to the marching band version of Hang On Sloopy on his Walkman

He's rich got a small phone bill...

Back going back in all directions he suffers fools in silence pretending English is his lingua secondo

" I never study inglese per one minute, I grow with it, like child."

My feelings are is that all good cracking non sequiturs be loosely based on fact.

His band mates didn't bother to visit when they played the Olympia down the street in 1972 mad.gif

PC, I don't visit my brother's and dad's graves, either.  I just can't do it.   sad.gif
