maybe so, but years ago he said he was working on some sort of novel.

You are correct that that he did talk of writing a novel something like 10 years ago, but I believe he said at one point that he shelved it. I am, however, almost positive that this "new" book is not a novel, but true life accounts of things connected to John's time with The Doors.. and beyond.

he already did that with Riders which is now 20 years go. Maybe an update on what has happened since but he would be good at writing something different. Ray has written about 3 books: one on his life with the doors, another on life based on the doors which was called poet in exhile and another based on something from the 19th century. What cd is robby releasing?

I agree. I think John would be very good at writing anything.
Ray's "Light my Fire" was ok, very annoying in parts (as Ray himself usually is). John's "Riders" was a much better read.
"Poet in Exile" was garbage.
I never read Ray's third book.. have no interest in doing so.

We could always lock him in a room with nothing but a copy of "The Poet in Exile"...lol

I think the cruel & unusual part of the Constitution covers that though.
Speaking of the Constitution, we still using that, or did the previous administration do away with that?

People keep discussing the possible release of a book by Robby. Has Robby stated that he is definately going to write a book? I remember him mentioning that he would write a book if he ever got bored, but I don't remember him stating that he was definately going to write one.
Yes, I'm hoping to get it out in the spring around the same time as the doc on the Doors...john d.

That book has turned into a screenplay... maybe it will make a better movie than novel... the subject is the same: a young person's struggles with the Vietnam War... yes, "Riders on the Strom" was about my time with the band, but alot of interesting things have happened in the last 8 years which I think might be relevant, john d.
